Brooke’s personal experience as both a transgender woman and a police officer is extremely rare. She has a willingness to speak about Trans issues, being out and open about her life, experiences, and interactions with law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ community. This enables her to be in a unique position to speak and educate others on the importance of professional interactions with the trans and gender non-conforming community.

While there are many great consultants, police instructors, and members of the LGBTQ+ community providing training to various law enforcement agencies, very few are actually trans identified and have worked in law enforcement.  Even for those agencies that do have trans and gender non-conforming employees, they may not wish to speak about the extremely personal nature of the topic.
